Identifying opportunities for strategic growth with generative AI

A specialist PR and communications firm came to us to understand how generative AI could drive greater effectiveness in their current business. We helped them answer that question, plus helped them develop a roadmap for AI-driven business transformation over the years to come.

Challenge:

Green Door Co, a PR and communications agency specialising in helping clients win business awards, relied on a labor-intensive workflow for synthesising, analysing, and presenting client data.

This approach prevented senior staff from nurturing client relationships and scaling the business.

Solution:

To understand the awards submission workflow, we conducted research interviews and observations with Green Door Co team members and their clients.

This allowed us to capture baseline data on workflow efficiency and identify where generative AI could be deployed to save time for high-value opportunities.

We also determined which workflow components needed to remain human-driven to maintain output quality and client relationships.

Using a codesign approach, we involved team members in developing automation concepts that align with the research findings.

These concepts are designed to be developed and deployed over the next 18 months to 3 years, ensuring the business stays relevant and effective, while achieving its growth targets.

Outcome:

We provided a clear set of recommendations for implementing AI-driven tools within the workflow, emphasising employee agency and effectiveness.

These recommendations position Green Door Co to leverage AI to scale their business, make their existing processes more efficient, and enhance employee engagement and effectiveness.
